Data portability and switching providers

What this page is for

Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (the Data Act) guarantees that you can leave LIORA and take your data with you. This page keeps the register it requires: what you can export yourself, in which formats and with what limits, what is handed over to you on request, and where your data is kept.

The conditions for switching providers — time limits, assistance, end of the contract and erasure — are set by the ‘Switching providers’ section of our Terms of sale. Switching providers and retrieving your data are never charged for.

What you can export yourself

Each export is started from the corresponding screen of the application. Tabular files are in CSV format, UTF-8 encoded, with the semicolon as separator: they open in a spreadsheet as in any other software. In exports produced by our servers, a text cell beginning with =, +, - or @ is neutralised, so that a spreadsheet does not run it as a formula.

What has no self-service export

Other data — in particular orders, customer records, recipes, production orders, promotions, suppliers and application settings — cannot currently be exported to a file from the application. It is handed over to you on request, as explained in the next section.

The catalogue, orders and customers come from your Shopify store: they remain there, and Shopify lets you export them from its admin.

A complete export, on request

On written request to direction@liora-eu.com, we hand over to you within thirty days a complete export of all your exportable data: one file per category, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (CSV or JSON), together with the files you have uploaded, in their original format. This is free of charge, including during the retrieval period that follows the end of the contract.

Transferable data and exclusions

All exportable data is transferable: the data you have entered or imported into LIORA (including the copy of your Shopify store’s data), the files you have uploaded, and the documents generated from your data, such as your invoices.

The only exclusions are data specific to the internal operation of the service whose disclosure would infringe our trade secrets: the application’s code, our security keys and secrets, our servers’ technical logs, and internal working tables (synchronisation queues, indexes, caches). This exclusion never hinders or delays your switch to another provider.

For a provider belonging to a group established in the United States, access to data by that country’s authorities, under its law, cannot be ruled out. The commercial data you entrust to the application, however, is hosted by Scaleway, a French company.

Measures against access by third-country governments

To prevent an authority of a third country from accessing your data in breach of EU or French law:

  • Hosting: the application’s data is hosted in France, by a French provider.
  • Encryption: in transit and at rest, as described on our Security and incident response page.
  • Restricted access: only our servers and authorised persons have access to the data.
  • Review of every request: a request for access from an authority of a third country is complied with only if it is based on an international agreement in force, or meets the conditions of Article 32 of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854. We then disclose only what is strictly necessary, and inform you before responding, except where the request serves a criminal investigation, and for as long as is necessary to preserve its effectiveness.

Any questions

Write to direction@liora-eu.com: we will answer any question about retrieving your data or switching providers.

This page is the register provided for in Article 26 of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854. It is updated whenever the application’s exports change.
