Add a SKU (reference) to a product
Why a product without a SKU is skipped at import, and how to add the reference.
What you can do
- A product created in LIORA always has a SKU: it is required at creation.
- For a product that came from your store without a reference: in the Shopify admin, open the product and fill in the SKU field of each variant.
- For several products at once, export the catalog from Shopify as CSV, fill in the “Variant SKU” column, then import the file back into Shopify.
- Choose a unique, short SKU without spaces, then click “Import” in “Products”, or “Re-import everything” in Configuration › Integrations: the completed products are then taken into account.
Displayed, not yet editable
- A single variant without a SKU is enough for the whole product to be skipped at import: it does not appear in LIORA until the reference is filled in.
- The “Products without SKU” card on the product list counts those skipped by the last import; after an import, the “Add a SKU in Shopify” link leads to this article.
